The Living Story Company
01 · THE RECEIPTS

How it was made.

Every line the pages say about the products was read from the products’ own code, and each one names the file it came from. The pages show the lines as paintings; this page keeps the receipts. The lines were read on November 4, 2026, and the build stops the moment a number in them and the code disagree.

HIS WORDS FIRST

The order and every ruling are his.

Five acts, walked with him day by day, tool by tool, and each decision recorded in his own words before it was built.

EVERY CHECK CAN FAIL

661 checks before a release.

Every probe is run against a known-good and a known-bad case. One that reads the same both times is thrown away.

LOOK, THEN CLAIM

Behaviour is settled by opening the app.

A thing is pressed and photographed before a page says what it does. The photographs are kept in the repository beside the code.

02 · LANDFALL · TEN THINGS ONLY THIS ISLAND DOES

Landfall, read from its code.

The thirty-five days, as the code runs them.

  1. One day a day.

The next day opens at your own midnight, once today’s challenge is done. Thirty-five days means thirty-five days.

    src/lib/courseProgress.ts
  2. Five acts, each with its own line.

Why now. Notice life. Replace and reframe. Active practice. Make it yours.

    src/lib/course35.ts · WEEKS
  3. Every day asks for an older tool again.

Spaced repetition is written into the course itself, one day at a time.

    src/lib/course35.ts
  4. A book that writes itself.

After the day closes, Blue writes one page of My Landfall Story from the records the day’s screens wrote.

    src/lib/storyNarrative.ts · storyPages.ts
  5. A companion from an egg.

Five eggs to choose from. It grows on your work and learns one word from every check-in you keep.

    src/lib/islandCompanion.ts · companionWords.ts
  6. The garden, day 22.

Each plant is a goal or a habit. Check-ins water it. Left alone it droops and the soil pales, and it waits for you.

    src/lib/garden.ts · course35.ts
  7. Twenty-one kinds of check-in, one framework.

The check-in tab opens a little at a time, as the days go.

    src/lib/checkins.ts · checkinUnlocks.ts
  8. A Library that opens as you go.

Ninety-seven tools, most of them closed in act one, so a first morning stays simple.

    components/LANCEGame/lanceGameData.ts · src/lib/actOneGate.ts
  9. Two voices, both on the device.

Blue speaks in recorded clips, more than five thousand on disk. The companion speaks through Kokoro, running on the phone.

    src/lib/companionVoiceWorker.ts · libraryBlue/
  10. A sleep lab that counts.

Patterns are reported as counts from your own entries, and the diagnosis is left to a person.

    src/lib/sleepLab.ts
03 · LANDFALL · FOR YOURSELF

What a person should know.

  1. One day at a time.

The next day opens at midnight, once today’s challenge is done.

    src/lib/courseProgress.ts
  2. The challenge finishes the day.

The check-in and the practice are invitations. They tick and they show, and the day moves on either way.

    src/lib/courseProgress.ts
  3. Five to fifteen minutes.

Each day names its minutes before you start.

    src/lib/course35.ts · minutes
  4. Your work stays on this device.

It leaves only by your tap, or by a schedule you set.

    src/lib/recipients.ts
  5. Your photographs and voice stay home.

A backup or a therapist’s copy carries your words; the pictures and the recordings stay on the phone.

    src/lib/deviceKeeps.ts
  6. Your own copy, in one file.

Everything this device holds of you, to take with you.

    src/lib/personalCopy.ts
  7. Erase everything takes back what left first.

The calendar feed and a therapist’s backup are asked to delete before the phone is cleared.

    src/lib/eraseEverything.ts
  8. Your book writes itself.

One page a night from what you did. A missed day is told honestly and kindly, and the story turns.

    src/lib/storyNarrative.ts
  9. Talk to your companion freely.

What you say in that sheet is forgotten when the sheet closes.

    components/LANCEGame/CompanionTalk.tsx
  10. Day 34 is a letter across time.

Your own promises and photos go in, and the photos stay on the phone until you send it.

    src/lib/letterCapsule.ts · course35.ts
04 · LANDFALL · FOR THERAPISTS

What a provider should know.

  1. Pairing is one code.

Six characters from you, entered once. The client can unpair whenever they choose.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts
  2. The client chooses what you receive.

Everything, chosen tools, or only what they send, with none of it pre-selected.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts
  3. Words by default, pictures by consent.

Photos, voice and drawings come to you only when the client ticks them.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts · DEFAULT_KINDS
  4. Sealed stays sealed.

A future letter or a sealed page reaches you on its day and no sooner.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts
  5. Story pages come when shared.

A page of their book reaches you only when the client shares it.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts
  6. What you can send.

A tool, a lock or an unlock, suggested work, a daily plan, a message, a session confirmation, a story prompt.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts · Directive
  7. A receipt carries their word.

Opened or completed, with the client’s own outcome word, so you read “I tried” rather than a bare tick.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts
  8. Done means the data changed.

An assigned tool counts as complete only when its saved data changes after it was assigned.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts
  9. About hourly, and at once when it matters.

Sync runs about once an hour. An answer to your plan goes immediately.

    src/lib/therapistLink.ts
  10. A research-ready export.

The record as a long-format CSV, with a codebook that tells “skipped” from “not asked”.

    src/lib/recordExport.ts
05 · THE LIGHTHOUSE · TWENTY THINGS

The Lighthouse, read from its code.

  1. The record stays in your building.

An installed copy listens only on the computer it runs on.

    server.ts
  2. Sign-in is the door.

An installed copy requires it, and an unclear setting stops the start rather than guessing.

    server.ts
  3. Your AI can run on your own machine.

Ollama, MLX builds included, on the computer in your office.

    clinical-brain.ts · scribe-local.ts
  4. A cloud brain only when you choose it.

A new practice starts in-house. The cloud is a setting you turn on.

    agents.ts
  5. When in doubt, words stay in.

An unreadable setting is treated as in-house.

    agents.ts
  6. The Eraser goes first.

Identifying details are removed before anything reaches a cloud and restored in the answer. You can ask to see what would be sent before it goes.

    eraser-host.ts · clinical-brain.ts
  7. Every answer carries a receipt.

Which brain answered, where it ran, and whether the words left the practice.

    clinical-brain.ts · BrainReceipt
  8. An AI read is an audited read.

When a brain reads a client’s record, the audit log records it.

    clinical-brain.ts
  9. The audit log keeps the who and the what, and leaves the content out.

Reads, writes, exports and sign-ins, exportable as CSV.

    audit-log.ts · server.ts
  10. The Compliance Officer counts.

Notes owed and notes needing attention, at the strictness you set: Soft, Standard or Critical.

    server.ts · src/lib/team-roster.ts
  11. A signed note is locked.

A later change goes in as an addendum, in its own right.

    server.ts
  12. The drafter is held to the transcript.

It is told to use only what the transcript says.

    note-engine.ts
  13. Every sentence has an anchor.

Each line of a draft points at the transcript line that supports it. A sentence with none is caught automatically.

    scribe-local.ts · checkAnchors
  14. Group video on your own Mac.

A LiveKit server the Lighthouse runs on the practice’s machine.

    group-call.ts
  15. Consent at the door.

In a group, only members who agreed to your documents are transcribed. When the documents change, an earlier agreement lapses.

    server.ts · src/lib/consent.ts
  16. Booking on the practice’s clock.

Free times are worked out from your own settings, and a time just taken is turned away with a 409.

    server.ts · booking-slots.ts
  17. Outside calendars come in, yours goes out.

ICS feeds are read into the one calendar, a future event that vanishes from its feed is removed, and your calendar is served as a keyed .ics feed.

    calendar-feeds.ts · server.ts
  18. Blue leads a team.

Keeper, Client Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator, Compliance Officer, Banker, Companion, and the members you add.

    src/lib/team-roster.ts
  19. Backups travel encrypted.

An offsite backup is sealed with your passphrase: scrypt, then X25519.

    backup-crypto.ts
  20. Assign, and a receipt comes home.

A client pairs a phone to their own record. You send work to their world, and the receipt returns to the record.
